The Protagonist is Hannah Baker and when the book starts we are soon told that she has killed herself(pg.7). Her story on why she killed herself is through audio tapes that recorded and sent right before she killed herself. Hannah starts out by letting the listeners that they are responsible for her death (pg.7).
